Founded as Tecnorocha – Sociedade de Escavação e Desmonte de Rochas, Lda. in Madeira island, CTM has been growing over the years, always dedicated to public construction projects and having as its main activity the construction of tunnels and geotechnics.

On 15 December 2005, the company changes its name to Construtora do Tâmega Madeira, S.A. and, from31 December 2013 onwards, it becomes part of the AFA Group, presently named CTM – Construções Técnicas, SA.

The company has been strengthening its experience with a particular focus on the construction of roads, bridges, viaducts, tunnels, and bituminous paving. It has also been responsible for a wide range of contracts that have largely contributed to the construction of Madeira and its development.
