The AFA Group considers the Environmental Industry to be of paramount strategic importance, namely Waste, Water and Basic Sanitation Management; this is why it has been taking part in various projects in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Worthy of particular mention is its participation in the construction and exploitation of the Meia Serra Station, the largest industrial unit of this type in Madeira and one of the most important solid urban waste treatment units to be found in Portugal.
