Correction of the stream channel over a distance of 1.5 km in the urban area of the city of Funchal. The contract work consisted of covering the existing walls with reinforced concrete walls supported by a major geotechnical work made up of microstakes and nailings and braced at the top by reinforced concrete beams. This methodology made it possible to lower the stream bed by about 3 m. Four bridges were demolished and rebuilt within the scope of this contract job.
