This wide-ranging work was part of the programme for the reconstruction of the available housing on the Island of Pico, following the earthquake of 9 July 1998. The various contract jobs that made up this project were divided into parishes and municipalities, AFAVIAS works covered the three munucipalities of the Pico Island. The projects, individually adapted for each dwelling, were for small repairs, remodelling or new construction.
